Danny has been working at the intersection of startups and corporates for most of the last twenty years, both as founder and a Corporate VC or Strategy/M&A professional.  As a result, he’s seen the best and worst of what happens when corporates invest in and partner with startups. Through these experiences Danny has developed a deep belief that, when done the right way, it is possible to create high-functioning partnerships between large corporates and innovative startups that are mutually beneficial to both. Reinventure Group, through its strategic relationship with Westpac, is the way Danny, along with his Partner, Simon are seeking to prove this belief.

Danny is a restless entrepreneur at heart and loves working shoulder-to-shoulder with entrepreneurs to help them on their journey. He finds it hugely satisfying when he can help them learn from the scar tissue he has collected over the years. Along with Reinventure, Danny been fortunate enough to help build Australia’s leading FinTech hub as a Founding Director of Stone & Chalk. Danny was also privileged to be a co-founder of Data Republic along with Paul McCarney from 2015-2021.  Danny is a self-confessed data junkie, and believes that data will fundamentally transform most industries and society over the next two decades.

Danny is also a collector of strange and unusual hobbies, a number of which have the common theme of believing gravity is a myth.  These include aerial silks, tumbling, rock and ice climbing, woodwork, dabbling in screenplays and even Ninjutsu. That’s right, he thinks he’s a freakin’ ninja :).
